Audience Profile

The target audience for my film is mainly males aged 15-21. This is because, in my audience research, the main target audience for films like this one is males aged between 15 and 21.

However, in recent years more and more females are enjoying the horror genre more than rom-coms and tragedies. And although these two genres are still popular with the female audiences, horror  has increased in the amount of teenage girls watching them.

Statistics for the male audience who will be interested in my film.
These statistics are based on statistics found on my audience research and is also based upon future viewings.

About 60% of my female audience would be aged 15-20. Similar to my male audience, 20% would be aged 21-30. About 7% would be 31-40 and 3% would be 41+.

Costumes

This would be similar to the dress that my main protagonist would be wearing in the original opening to my film. It would have been a sophisticated black dress, not necessarily with a single strap.

This will be worn through the whole of the film by the main character and gradually it would get ripped and have tears in. Hopefully it would create a juxtaposition between  how she is seen to the audience at the start of the film and how the audience sees her at the end.

This is similar to what the dress would look like at the end of the film. As you can see, it has noticeable rips and tears to it and is not as pristine and sophisticated as the original dress worn at the beginning.
I feel that the contrast between a pristine outfit and the ripped outfit is kind of a cliché in the horror genre. However, I believe that it is a classic cliché.
